How it works

The whole journey — post, fill, work, pay.

One platform runs both sides of a shift and everything around it: compliance, scheduling, attendance, approvals and pay. Here’s the full picture.

For the employer

From a gap in the rota to a confirmed clinician.

Create the shift

Single shift or a block, grouped by area. Set grade, date-range, hours, weekday/weekend and rate.

Publish to a pool

Internal, bank, favourites or approved external — over push, email or SMS, only to those available.

Allocate & lock

Interest is grouped by area and grade; allocate, the clinician confirms, and the slot locks.

Approve & settle

Timesheets carry rates and totals through your approval chain and become invoices.

For the clinician

From profile to paid.

Get verified

Build one compliance profile; our team checks and approves it before you can be booked.

Find shifts

Search by region or radius and grade; register interest in up to three at once.

Confirm

Confirm an allocation to lock it; your calendar blocks the time so nothing clashes.

Work & submit

Check in by GPS, then review and submit your timesheet — weekly if you prefer.

Compliance lifecycle

Checked before, watched after.

Compliance isn’t a one-time gate — it’s a living record. Documents are verified up front and monitored for expiry, with reminders to the clinician and visibility for the people booking them.

  • GMC-linked. Registration status checked directly against the register.
  • Expiry-aware. DBS, indemnity, right-to-work and training all carry reminders.
  • Visa-hours enforced. Weekly caps tracked and blocked for bank and external staff.
  • Flag & resolve. Pending compliance is flagged; clinicians get time to fix it before being blocked.
Security & data
  • Built for healthcare data. Designed around UK data-protection expectations from day one.
  • Least-privilege access. People see only the areas, staff and records their role allows.
  • Audit everything. Allocations, approvals and timesheets are logged end to end.
FAQ

How it works — details

What happens if a clinician doesn’t confirm in time?
You can set a confirmation window. If it lapses, the allocation releases automatically and the shift goes to the next suitable clinician — no manual chasing.
How are double-bookings prevented?
A confirmed shift blocks that time on the clinician’s calendar. If they confirm a clashing shift elsewhere, the system cancels the conflicting allocations so a slot is never held twice.
Does attendance need hardware?
No. Clinicians check in from their phone on site via GPS, and a ward manager can adjust if needed.
